Estate & vineyards

Between flysch, sun and the Gulf of Trieste.

Our vineyards stretch across Škocjan, between Koper and Prade, just 3 km from Koper city centre.

Soil and microclimate

The soils here are a rich blend of marl, sandstone and red Istrian earth, carrying minerals that come through in the character of our wines. Winemakers consider Škocjan's terroir exceptional thanks to the proximity of the sea, which gently moderates ripening and creates the day-night temperature swings that build aroma and freshness.

Microclimate

The nearby sea and the open exposure create the temperature swings that protect freshness and aromatics.

Grape varieties

Malvazija and refošk are at the heart of what we do, complemented by cabernet sauvignon and yellow muscat.

Sun and exposure

South-facing slopes allow even ripening and full flavour development.

Vineyard position

The vineyards sit at Škocjan pri Kopru, between the sea and the Istrian hills, on sun-soaked slopes with an open view.
